At the traditional FIS Alpine Ski World Cup Opening on Rettenbach Glacier, the best men's and women's giant slalom skiers battle for the first hundredths of a second of the season. And all of Sölden celebrates with a party that is legendary far beyond the Alps.

A huge number of cyclists start the race under a Red Bull arch, watched by a large crowd and flanked by hot-air balloons and mountains in the background.

It's the toughest and most coveted cycling race for amateur athletes in the Alps. 227 kilometers, four gigantic alpine passes and 5,500 meters of elevation gain! The cycling marathon is not just an experience for participants: when thousands of cyclists ride through Sölden, there is plenty of action on off the marathon course.
